Halloween Is Upon Us

Thing1 clowning around with Jack Skellington

Thing1 clowning around with Jack Skellington last year.

Yes, goblins and vamps, Halloween is here again. Since it’s my favorite time of the year, what better way to celebrate than with a party?

I went with an infestation theme this year.

In the kitchen, mice ran wild and bugs crawled up the walls and all over the signs of exterminators and government agents gone missing over the past weeks. Something is definitely wrong.

Happily, it didn’t keep our guests from consuming all the goodies!

In other parts of the house, birds flocked, bats circled, and spiders (shudder) nested…

Illuminating ingredients are gathered for a witchy brew.

And no self-respecting Halloween party is complete without guests, properly dressed for the season, of course.

And the hosts, dressed as Flo from Progressive Insurance and Peggy from Discover Card (because it may not be immediately obvious).

Apparently, all my energy and enthusiasm went toward the party this year. The trick-or-treaters are going to have to survive without our yard haunt.

Lucky children. I’ll get you next year, my pretties…

Thank you! At the party, yes, I had a fabulous time. Before the party, for weeks (because my house was a disaster!), I was running around like a mad woman.
